Marie says that this is the image that typifies the spirit
of the trip.
I think it looks like DJ is impersonating Kate Winslet in Titanic.
Can't wait for the nude photo on the divan scene!

This is the halibut that I dropped the 10 lb. weight on.
He freaked out
and bit into one hook and swam into the other.
He weighed about 15 lbs. although I tell people
he was a 25 pounder.
All fishermen lie. Even Wischermen.

DJ just gets in the kayak and paddles away. This after
one or two lessons.
Daring, isn't she!
|
I can always pull lobster, crab or shrimp pots if I can't
get a job.
It helps to have good muscles.
Unfortunately, I don't.
I don't, but I try to fake it. Also, in the background, notice that
Perry is getting up close and personal with a bucket of shrimp.
|
She and Maria paddled out to the bay to watch the sunset.
I stayed behind to drink.
Each of us performed to expectations.
|
This can be really hard work if you do it for a living.
|
Gosh a rooney... aren't we cute?
Yep!
(I'm sure glad I had the polarizer)
|
Ripping the heads off of shrimp is a tough job because
the little guys have a sharp horn in the middle of their head and try to stick you through your glove.
I'm glad that I pulled the pots up and let Perry and Rachel do the work.
|
She kayak's, hikes and fishes... is this Wonder Woman
or what!
Thank god for Capt. Kent or we would have had to touch the damn fish.
Actually, fishing got boring really fast. The fish would bite anything you threw
in the water. Still, it was fun for a while.
We started trying to fool the fish
and keep them from biting the hook!

I just like this photo of my wife. She is having a great
time and she is cute as heck.
This is the back deck of the Chester B. It is a great place to
spend time while underway between places.
|
The front of the boat was a good place to relax except
when we were
cruising very fast. At those times the spray would be too much to take.
It could get cold too.
|
This is at the start of a hike. Rachel and DJ and Marie
took off up the hill
and Perry went down the hill.
I stayed on the trail and collapsed.
The forest was very nice, however.
