Red Rocks National Rec. Area - Nevada

Red Rocks National Recreation Area is located outside of Las Vegas. It used to be a long way from the city, now, due to urban encroachment, it is a few blocks from the outskirts of the city. We go to Las Vegas for our annual tradeshow in January now, so look for new images every year. 

( These images are extensively altered in Photoshop, using some modification filters from Kodak Digital, notably, Digital SHO and Digital GEM, as well as Test Strip from Vivid Details. The original image is washed using these filters and becomes almost impressionist in nature. Remember that the image you are viewing is a low rez JPG. The opposite of the one on the end. Red Rocks is a sandstone and limestone formation.	"I got it! I really got it!" I've been trying for this image for ten years. Finally. The wait was worth it.
Tortoise Rock. Looks like a turtle or a snake.
