The Chicago and Nowell Wisch Railroad

These are my favorite photos of the month. They are the product of my warped imagination. No one is responsible for these except me, unless you think they suck, in which case, I had nothing to do with them. 

They have been downsized to 800 x 600 lo rez .jpg's to make them easier to post on the net. If you like them, I will print you a high quality copy and even pick up the postage to mail them because I get a rush from these things! May 2002

This is the first month under the new regime. The road crew has decided to  start at a corner and work toward the edges. The first area to be constructed will be the coal yard.

The REMCO remodel on the left and the Law Building on the right. The smaller structure on the far right is a public transportation shelter on Main Street.

The industrial spur to the right and the crossing track to the left. The turnout has been installed on the crossing track and I will start on connecting it in September or October.

This is where the coal yard will go.

There will be five tracks in the yard.

Four tracks will go under the chutes and the fifth will run to the left of the building.

All 5 tracks are in. The cork roadbed is glued down and the track is positioned for tacking.

I have started to try some landscaping. On the left is the earth tone dirt and on the right is the light rock base.

The Depot Quarter will feature a service station, a hotel, a passenger terminal and a freight terminal. There will be a six bay locomotive roundhouse and turntable.

This is so cool! 
I found a neon "DINER" sign that flashes on and off and will be installed on top of Alex's Diner.
