Happy Holidays from the Davila/Torres Family

December 2001

Hi All! Since I am not a very good letter writer, I prefer email, I thought I would do a quick generic newsletter to let all of you know what we're up to. Here goes.

Alexander: He's 2 1/2 and 3 feet tall. He is talking so much and getting so smart and handsome. (For current pictures go to www.dianabarliant.com) He has been thriving at daycare and is learning sign language and social skills. He enjoyed Hanukkah and loved to light the candles, kept trying to blow them out, but was starting to learn the words to the prayer. He is already trying to open the Christmas presents and keeps taking the horn from the angel in the Nativity scene. He is growing up to be a great kidJ .

Ana: She is working at the local Kmart as a POS assistant (price changing). She likes it and they seem to like her, who wouldn'tJ . She is adjusting to life in San Diego and keeps in contact with her friends in Florida. I think she is really enjoying being around her first grandson and watching him grow up. I think she'd love San Diego more if we can get her a banking job, but we're working on it.

Damian: He is still working at Autozone and some website designing. He has been working with my dad on my uncle's website and learning a lot about the process. He enjoys both jobs and lately has had enough time to do both and play with Alex, which I know he loves to do. He had a car accident in his Oldsmobile, but with our neighbor, Frank, has fixed the car as much as possible. Looking at it, you'd never know what happened to it. Working with Frank on his car has led to some other outside jobs, good extra money.

Rachael: I am still working at Pacific Bell and loving every minute of it. They like me, they really really like me J . I am getting more irreplaceable every day. At least that's what they tell me. I have been taking some web design classes too and hopefully will have a link from my dad's site soon. I am still working through my feelings for my mom. It has been a whole year and that still surprises me. So much has changed in a year. We're working on buying a house, growing up and all. It is still hard for me, but watching Alex grow up helps. He makes me laugh so much so often. It helps to think that my mom is watching over him and therefore us too.

Thank you for making this past year as good as it was. I look forward to another great New Year.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
