(You kind of wish that these folks would invade Iraq. Five hours later,
they're gone. No muss, no fuss and no mess to clean up for years and years!)

We always use our tax refund to spruce up the Estate and this year we decided it was time to do the windows. I went to the Del Mar Fair with Perry and we bumped into the people from Jackson Stone and Patio, which, from their name, you would not expect to sell windows.

But you would be wrong, Buffalo Breath! These folks do a great job. The make a commitment and they stick to it. The price was much less than I expected and it is very fair. Don't let the big trucks or large crew scare you off. It took less than five hours and after they were done, you never knew they were here except that they left cool windows and disappearing screens. Gosh, these people are good! (Sort of reminds me of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid: "Who are those guys?")

Contact them at: http://www.jacksonstonepatio.com/ or call them at their office. Here are photos of the install.

(As usual, click on the little picture to see the big picture.)

Could not figure out how they were going to get that truck into that space.

It didn't look like this before they arrived and it didn't look like this when they left, less than five hours later. Very classy bunch.

Every part of the house that they moved around was covered and left clean.

This crew has more drop cloths than Home Depot.

You start by taking the old window out.

Next, you get a big hole in your wall.
5 shots of how you fill the big hole in the wall.

They shoot some cool expanding foam into the cracks. I'm not sure I like this step. What will I do without the constant drafts coming from the window, now?

The new windows screw into the frames of the old windows.

Expanding foam goes inside, too.

The outside trims get cut to size.

Then installed.

Finally, you get crystal clear windows without screens in the way.

Great views because the screens are hidden.

Inside and outside look great!
